Creating your wedding cake : the process!

Love the look of my wedding cakes? Want to reserve your date? That's great! Allow me to explain how the booking process works.

If you love the look of my wedding cakes and you have already set your wedding date, I recommend contacting me now to check my availability - my diary fills up quickly and often quite some months in advance, so don't delay - click on the enquiry button above to get in touch.  You can secure your date with a small £100 deposit.

Once you have secured your date, the next step is your consultation and design service, alternatively you can book your consultation first, which includes cake tasting and the design service will come when you have booked to secure your date.  Consultations are for two, by appointment only, and are held in my cake studio at my home in Christchurch, Dorset.  They last approximately one hour and you will get to taste some of my most popular flavours, enjoy a cup of tea and discuss your dream wedding cake with me.  I would love to hear all about your wedding so feel free to bring any colour swatches, ribbons or photos to help me build up a picture of your dream wedding cake.  Cake consultations are £20 and this will be deducted from your final invoice. 

To finalise your design I will email you a detailed drawing.  Once you are happy with your design and have chosen your cake flavours, you can relax and I will take care of everything for you. I will also contact your venue to arrange safe delivery and set up of your wedding cake on your perfect day.

A little tip ... when choosing naked, semi naked or buttercream wedding cakes please remember they are buttercream or bare sponge.  I would not recommend them for hot summer months, especially if they are going to be placed in a hot marquee or reception room - naked cakes will dry out and buttercream will melt!

Cake Stands : I have a variety of cake stands available to hire to make your dream wedding cake stand out from the crowd - wedding cake stands can be hired for just £25.  I require a refundable £100 'on-loan' deposit, which is repaid to you, when the wedding cake stand is returned to me no later than two days after your wedding, in the same condition, it was hired out in.
